About Charleston Forklift Training

Our mission
Charleston Forklift Training was founded with one clear mission: to deliver high-quality, OSHA-compliant safety training without the distractions or hidden agendas common in this industry. Where others combine training with equipment sales, warehouse services, or other upsells, we focus solely on one thing — keeping your team safe, skilled, and compliant.
We bring OSHA-certified instruction directly to your facility, training your operators on your own equipment, with curriculum tailored to your specific environment, industry, and workflow. This ensures that every lesson is relevant, practical, and immediately applicable.

Meet Your Instructor
Matthew Webb is a Charleston native, a proud husband, and a father of two. As an OSHA-certified instructor, he brings years of hands-on experience operating and training on a wide range of material-handling equipment. Matt has spent much of his career in real-world environments where safety and efficiency are non-negotiable, and that background shapes the way he teaches today. His approachable, down-to-earth style makes complex safety standards easy to understand, while his practical focus ensures that both operators and management walk away with skills they can immediately apply on the job.
What sets Matt apart is the way he connects with people. He knows that effective training isn’t just about checking boxes—it’s about building confidence, creating safer workplaces, and giving teams the tools to succeed under pressure. Whether he’s working one-on-one with an operator or leading a group session, Matt’s emphasis is always on clarity, hands-on learning, and real-world problem-solving.
Outside of training, Matt has a lifelong passion for cars, especially historic race cars. He enjoys the craftsmanship, history, and precision they represent—values that echo in his work as a trainer. When he’s not in the classroom or around cars, Matt can often be found playing guitar or spending time with his family.
